Camping trip to Lake Texoma on 12 Aug 13
IMG 0721 Sunset on the 14th of August. IMGP 0714 Our campsite at Lake Texoma 12-16 Aug 13 IMGP 0701 Don't know what these are but they were buzzing with lots of honey bees. Guess actually the honey bees were doing the buzzing. IMGP 0703 edited-1 Good crop of green persimmons. Anyone want to chew then whistle?
IMGP 0708 Nice bloom. Anyone plant a big bed of thistle this year. These are the ones about 3-4 foot tall that you don't want to touch their leaves. IMGP 0712 Bumble bee of some type gathering from the thistle blooms. IMG 0733 An angry looking honeysuckle bloom. IMG 0723 Any idea what these berries are called. Look like a big huckleberry but bushes are up to 6 feet tall. Tasted the juice and it is sweet but may be poison for all I know.
IMGP 0699 Where the Washita and the Red rivers meet. Point on the far right background is called Washita Point. The Red comes from the gap in the far background. The Washita is between here and the Point. One of the best places on the lake to find waves when the wind is from almost any direction. IMG 0728 These were cute but have no idea what they are..
