Gulf Fritillary (one of the most common in the world with variations)
This one from 2016. Have not seen one this year. Forgot the name. May be a Fritillary in a color variation.
Believe this is a Monarch.
Gulf Fritillary again
Back side of Monarch wings. Pretty on both sides.
Common Buckeye (only saw on one day. There were two in the at same time).
Believe this is a Painted Lady
Fritillary
Same Fritillary
Now and then, not a butterfly (Assassin beatle). Not sure this is the biting version (Kissing bug). I did not test it. Those are dangerous and carry Chagas disease.
All butterflies have 4 wings that generally overlap so they appear as 2. Some butterflies change color during the season. Think this is a Fritillary in his bright phase with worn wings.
Short movie of the Buckeye. Had to clip a frame from here because couldn't get him with wings open.
